Furthermore, we conduct extensive ongoing training at our training
facility located in Antelope Valley, California. The Training includes
but not limited to the following:
- Public relations
- Surveillance techniques
- Personal hygiene
- Antiterrorism techniques
- Emergency evacuation techniques
- Crowd control
- Proper report writing techniques
- Being a good witness in court of law
- Complete apprehension and arrest procedures
- Specific training and usage of verbal de-escalation techniques
- Sexual harassment training
- Workplace safety instructions
- Becoming a good listener as a public minded officer.
Pre-Employment Screening
METROGUARD conducts extensive background checks on all personnel
before they are hired. METROGUARD uses BCI (background check
incorporated) to conduct all of the background checks on potential
employees. The following is a list of all the Pre-employment screening
measures that METROGUARD conducts.
- Previous Employment Verification
- Personal Reference Check
- Criminal Court History
- Civil Court History
- Motor Vehicle Report (for possible patrol car drivers)
- Workers Compensation Report
- Drug Testing (drug tests are conducted randomly throughout the
year)
All of our officers are hand-picked and thoroughly screened in
reference to character, attitude and personal discipline in order to
ensure that our personnel are drug-free. However, if someone is thought
to be involved in drugs, that individual will be subjected to drug
testing and dealt with accordingly.
